Manchester United player Eric Bailly has turned down an opportunity to leave the club, according to a report.
The Ivory Coast international has spent years on the fringes of the first team at this stage and it seems like manager Erik Ten Hag does not see him in his plans.
Bailly went on loan last season to French side Olympique Marseille rather than staying to see if he could get a place in the team. He racked up 23 appearances for the club but evidently, they were not interested enough in making his stay permanent to put in an offer to buy.
Sky Sports have reported an update on his situation and shed light on where he could have ended up so far this summer.
Allegedly, Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr were interested but did not end up pursuing the 29-year-old after deciding on Aymeric Laporte for their defensive signing (Although it seems still possible if that transfer does not happen).
It was also said that Turkish club Besiktas had made their interest known but it was the player’s decision not to move there and to instead remain in Manchester for now.
Whether or not other clubs are looking to buy Bailly is unclear, but it looks rather unlikely that he will play games for The Red Devils this season if he does stay.
