Liverpool have received a £40million offer from Al-Ittihad for midfielder Fabinho according to reports.
The 29-year-old has been a subject of speculation over recent days after interest from the Saudi club emerged. Despite the rumoured interest in the Brazilian, no formal bid had been received by the Anfield hierarchy, but that now appears to have changed.
According to the reliable Paul Joyce, an offer of £40million has now been received for the player who signed for Liverpool in 2018.
The journalist for The Times also confirms that Fabinho was not part of the squad that departed for Germany on Saturday as they step up their pre-season preparations.
Could Fabinho and Jordan Henderson Both Depart?
Skipper Jordan Henderson is also the subject of interest from Saudi and Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq. Whilst personal terms have been reported as finalised, there is still no deal agreed upon between the two clubs.
Jurgen Klopp and new Sporting Director Jorg Schmadtke will have their work cut out over the coming days as they plan for the new season, perhaps without two of their most experienced players.
