Harry Maguire will stay at Manchester United, according to famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Englishman was strongly linked to West Ham in the last few weeks and reports suggested that The Red Devils had even accepted a £30million bid for him.

However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the deal is now off and it will definitely not happen. It is unclear whether or not another club will come in for him before the end of the window.

The reporter revealed his source said this: “Harry (Maguire) respects West Ham — but there was never an agreement on personal terms. Harry remains settled at United, loves the club and believes he will get plenty of opportunities to play”.

United have four clear options at center-back at the moment and were linked to players like Jean-Clair Tobido (From French side Nice) as a replacement for Maguire, but it can be assumed that any deal like that will not happen if Maguire does stay.

The 30-year-old was a comfortable starter until the arrival of Lisandro Martinez last season but now seems to be the fourth choice in the position, after Victor Lindelof was brought on for him in the win at Old Trafford on Monday night.

If reports are to be believed, there could still be one or two signings for United before the end of the window.
