Besiktas have completed the signing of ex-Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a free transfer, according to BBC.
The 29-year-old left Anfield in June upon the expiry of his contract. Oxlade-Chamberlain has penned a three-year deal with the Istanbul club.
Besiktas claim the England international will earn 2.5m euros (£2.2m) per season and be able to earn up to 10,000 euros (£8,600) a match depending on his playing time.
The Istanbul outfit, who have clinched 16 Turkish Super Lig titles, finished third last season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal for £35m in 2017 and went on to feature in 146 games, scored 18 goals, and recorded 15 assists across all competitions.
He was hampered by injuries during his time at the club after suffering two serious knee injuries. Last season, he racked up 13 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions as the Reds finished 5th in the Premier League.
Oxlade-Chamberlain played his part in helping Jurgen Klopp’s side win several titles including the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019.
He was part of the first Liverpool team to clinch the league title for 30 years as they racked up 99 points in 2019-20. He also won the Carabao Cup, Emirates FA Cup, and Community Shield with the club.
