For the new campaign Liverpool have been awarded a safe standing license for the 2023/24 season following an application to the Sports Ground Safety Authority.
This will see rail seating sections in the Kop and in the lower Anfield Road Stand from Saturday.
LFC checked how rail seating in relation to fans’ safety at the end of a trial period last season and, as a result of its findings, applied for a Safe Standing Licence.
Now Anfield will have a different permanent aspect to it’s famous atmosphere after it was first introduced in the  2020-21 close season following a safety review.
After the trial periods the and the latest installation of the rail seats this took the total to 7,425 rail seats on the Kop which is just over 55 per cent of stand capacity.
Liverpool plans to extend rail seating on the Kop next year to blocks 102-108, up to row 13.
Their first home game of the Premier League is coming up against Bournemouth but there will still be some issues with the new Anfield Road Stand.
The opening has been delayed so it will not be open until after the September international break but then it will still only open in incremental phases and it is expected to be fully open in October.
