Liverpool are determined to retain Harvey Elliott this summer, with high hopes for his future at Anfield, according to Football Insider.

The 21-year-old midfielder has reportedly been disappointed by his limited involvement in Arne Slot’s first-team plans this season.

However, despite interest from Bundesliga clubs dating back to the January transfer window, Liverpool are set to reject any offers for Elliott’s departure.

Elliott’s experience, despite his young age, is viewed as a valuable asset to the Reds, and he remains a key part of their long-term vision. With his contract set to expire in just two years, Liverpool are expected to enter talks with the midfielder over a new deal.

The former Fulham youngster is said to be dissatisfied with his current role at Liverpool and may seek a move for more playing time.

The young talent has played only 583 minutes of football this season, starting just four of his 21 appearances, and has yet to feature in a Premier League starting lineup.

Although a summer exit now seems unlikely, Harvey Elliott is expected to seek reassurances regarding his future playing time after what has been a frustrating campaign.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are eager to secure his future at the club beyond 2027, with the aim of avoiding the risk of losing him on a free transfer in two years’ time.
