The Championship season got underway this weekend and one player Liverpool fans will be wanting to keep an eye on is Calvin Ramsay.
The Scottish full-back was signed from Aberdeen last summer but he only managed two appearances throughout the campaign.
To get more experience in England Ramsay has been sent out on loan to Preston North End who will be looking to get into the play-offs.
They started their campaign off with a draw away to Bristol City thanks to a Will Keane equaliser but Ramsey was not in the squad.
Manager Ryan Lowe explained why he wasn’t involved, he said: “Calvin is now getting up to speed.
“He’s fit now, just not really match fit. He hasn’t had a 90 minutes, only two 30s and a 15. He is not far off but we will probably look to get him a lot of minutes in the Salford game next Tuesday.
“I think he will potentially start in that, which will be good for him if we can get him 60, 70 or 80 minutes in that.”
Ramsay showed some glimpses of potential last season against Derby County and Napoli so Jurgen Klopp will be hoping he can push on in the next 10 months.
Conor Bradley looks set to the be the back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold this season after featuring in pre-season and also signing a new contract.
