According to BILD, Frankfurt’s summer recruitment plans have led them to Endo, an experienced player with a proven track record in the Bundesliga, having spent four seasons with Stuttgart.

As one of the favourites remaining in the Europa League, having won the competition in 2022, Frankfurt’s chances of securing Champions League qualification are looking strong.

Should Endo move on, he would leave Liverpool having won the Carabao Cup and, almost certainly, this season’s Premier League title.

However, his departure would leave Liverpool needing to find a replacement in midfield – a potentially tricky task given the competition for places. Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, and Dominik Szoboszlai currently occupy the top spots in the central midfield pecking order.
