Liverpool were interested in Japanese winger Keito Nakamura, but the player rejected the opportunity to join the Red’s for some key reasons.
The Red’s hoped to sign the player but had no intentions of allowing him to be part of the first team this season. Nakamura refused this situation.
It may be something Liverpool go on the rue if the Japanese winger goes on to be a top player elsewhere.
As reported by Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Liverpool were rejected by Keito Nakamura for a key reason. The Red’s wanted to sign him and loan him back out, but the player refused this.
The 23-year old Japanese winger is highly rated and has already scored for his nation despite just making two appearance.
Liverpool have been scouting Nakamura as far back as January but are now set to miss out on his signing. Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa have also taken an interest.
The Austrian Bundesliga has been a hotbed for talent in recent years, with players like Erling Haaland and Dominick Szoboszlai both coming from the league. Keito Nakamura could be next.
It’s unlikely the player signs for Liverpool now however, with his future likely to lie elsewhere after the rejection.
