Liverpool are still monitoring Andre’s situation at Fluminense ahead of a summer move, according to Brazilian outlet Globo.
Jurgen Klopp is keen on revamping his engine room following the exit of five senior midfielders including Jordan Henderson and Fabinho who moved to the Saudi Pro League last month.
The German has already brought in two midfielders following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively.
Globo claims that there is a possibility that Liverpool would agree a deal with Fluminense that will allow Andre to complete his Copa Libertadores campaign and join the Reds in the January window.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield so far this summer. He has emerged as one of the best midfielders in Brazil following his impressive performances for his side.
Andre has racked up a total appearance of 146 and made six goal contributions across all competitions for Fluminense. Last season, he featured in 38 games in all competitions.
Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market after agreeing a British record transfer fee of £111m with Brighton for Moises Caicedo. The fee will exceed the £107m Chelsea paid for Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez in January.
The Reds are still in the race to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton despite seeing multiple bids rejected by the Saints who want £50m for the 19-year-old.
