Liverpool are still in the market for further midfield reinforcements this summer according to Michael Bridge.

The Reds had already recruited Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai before Jurgen Klopp was hit by the blow of losing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi clubs.

They then got involved in a tussle with Chelsea over Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, a battle that they ultimately lost.

Wataru Endo was brought in from VfB Stuttgart to add more depth to Klopp’s midfield options and it appears that they are still looking to bring in at least one more option before the transfer window closes on the 1st of September.

Liverpool Midfield Transfer Targets

Bridge was talking on Sky Sports News (via Football Daily) when he explained that Liverpool are still searching the market for midfield options.

He claimed that the Anfield hierarchy are interested in Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina), Andre Trindade (Fluminense), Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich), and Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City).

He did suggest however that it’s possible that the reigning Premier League champions may not be keen on selling England international Phillips to their rivals.

With just over a week left before the window closes, it promises to be an interesting few days ahead for Liverpool and their supporters.
