Liverpool face Leicester City in Singapore on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp’s team step up their preparations ahead of the new season.

This will be Liverpool’s third friendly since they returned in early July and they have kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 4-2 win against Karlsruher SC and a 4-4 draw with Greuther Furth.

Since leaving the training camp in Germany, Klopp has seen his skipper Jordan Henderson move to Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq and Fabinho also ruled out of the tour of Singapore with a £40million move to Al-Ittihad now close.

Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic stayed behind on Merseyside to continue their rehab from hip and adductor problems and Conor Bradley also did not travel due to a minor injury.

Klopp is expected to go strong against the Foxes with the start of the Premier League season just two weeks away and will be boosted by the return of new signing Dominik Szoboszlai after an ankle knock.

Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to return to right-back after playing the number six role so far. That could mean a return for Curtis Jones in midfield who returned late to pre-season after helping England to under-21 European Championship glory.

In attack, Klopp has paired Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in the opening two encounters with the two clearly having built a good understanding.

Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz have also looked sharp however, so the German may mix it up to have a look at some different options.

Ben Doak should also get some more minutes off of the bench after impressing so far.

Predicted Lineup

Alisson Becker;

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson;

Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai

Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz
