Liverpool forward Jayden Danns has been named the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for February, marking a memorable period for the 18-year-old.
During this time, Danns not only made his first senior appearance for the Reds but also scored his debut senior goals.
In PL2, he contributed significantly with two assists in as many appearances.
His breakthrough moment came under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp as he made his first senior appearance during Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Luton Town, coming on as a substitute.
Following this, Danns continued to impress by playing a role in Liverpool’s 1-0 triumph against Chelsea in the EFL Cup final.
His standout performance included scoring two goals in the FA Cup fifth-round success over Southampton.
Amid a period where Liverpool’s squad faced challenges with injuries, Danns is among the talented academy products who have stepped up to contribute to the first team.
As the first Reds player to secure the award this season, Danns emerged as the top choice from an eight-man shortlist selected by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel.
His achievements underscore the promising talent emerging from Liverpool’s youth ranks.
