Manchester United have not suspended Antony, despite the Brazil national team dropping him from their squad. That came after allegations of assault against Antony on his ex-girlfriend began to be formally investigated.
Antony has denied any wrongdoing, and is working with the authorities to try and come to a resolution on the situation. The allegations against him are serious, and if found guilty he could be sent to prison.
Manchester United have released a statement addressing the situation, but are yet to suspend the player.
United Yet To Suspend Antony:
The statement from Manchester United released today says the following.
“Man United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony and notes that the Police are conducting enquiries. Pending further information, the club will be making no further comments. As a club, we are taking this matter seriously, with consideration of the impact of these allegations and subsequent reporting will have on survivors of abuse”.

The Red’s have resisted calls to suspend Antony from charities according to James Ducker. The PFA are in at Manchester United today to discuss the situation, but there is no decision to remove the player from the squad just yet.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating the situation as well as a court in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Both Antony and the alleged victim are working with the authorities.
