Manchester United are currently enduring an injury stricken period, with 11 first-team players unavailable for selection. The damage has been evident and continued to be evident last night, as they slumped to another defeat in Munich.
Erik ten Hag believes the teams defensive frailties have been due to the injuries, but also feels the mentality on the pitch could improve. United are hoping to welcome two players back into the fold this Saturday.
Them two players are Raphael Varane and Mason Mount.
Manchester United Injury Update:
As reported by Rob Dawson of ESPN, Manchester United hope Raphael Varane and Mason Mount will be in the squad for Burnley.
United travel to Turf Moor on Saturday at 8pm, and will be hoping to bounce back from three straight defeats. They face a Burnley side who are yet to win this season.
Mason Mount and Raphael Varane trained on Monday before United travelled to Munich. The two players are anticipated to be available for Saturday.
Luke Shaw will not be available, along with Aaron Wan-Bisakka. Both players are not expected to be back until the November international break. The two full-backs have muscle injuries.
Harry Maguire’s injury is yet to be named and it’s unknown if he will return for Burnley. Kobbie Mainoo and Sofyan Amrabat are both expected back for Crystal Palace next week.
