Anyone who plays football manager knows who Joao Neves is, and he’s just as talented in the real world as he is on the game. The Benfica wonderkid is growing in stature by the week, and Manchester United have taken notice.
United are looking to revamp the club in the coming years, especially in midfield. Joao Neves has all the talent to be one of the top midfielders in the world in years to come. Unfortunately for United, he will not come cheap.
Benfica are renowned for their ability to sell young talent for a high fee. Neves is expected to be no exception.
Manchester United Like Joao Neves:
As reported by ABola in Portugal, Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Benfica midfielder Joao Neves.
Scouts have been to watch Neves play live. He is a player the club like, and they are continuing to closely monitor his progress. United have officially registered their interest in Neves.
Of course with a talent that big, United are not alone in their interest. Arsenal admire Neves, along with European superpower Real Madrid. Neither club can be considered a favourite at the moment, with interest in early stages.
Considering Benfica sold Enzo Fernandez for a world record fee of £106.8million in January, it’s unlikely United will pay below £50million for Neves.
One to watch for United in the future. Joao Neves is someone they love within the club.
