Manchester City could see some movement this summer with players leaving and new players coming in, with Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro on the shortlist.

Guerreiro will be a free agent when his contract with the Bundesliga side expires this summer, and Guardiola is considering a move for the 29-year-old.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, City is just one club looking at bringing in the Portuguese international, with Bayern Munich also tracking the players’ situation.

This could also be good news for Burnley as Vincent Kompany is looking to bring in players for his sides’ return to the Premier League and is keen to be reunited with Sergio Gomez.

Kompany worked with the Spanish international at Anderlecht, and Gomez himself could be open to the move after only featuring ten times this season.

Guerreiro would also be seen as a replacement for Joao Cancelo, who spent the second half of the season on loan at the Bundesliga Champions.

With Munich not looking likely to extend Cancelo’s stay beyond the end of his loan, both City and the 29-year-old will be looking to sort out a new club for the much-travelled left back.

If Guardiola could get Guerreiro through the door on a free transfer and recoup some of the money for Cancelo and a fee for Gomez, it would be considered intelligent business.

Guerreiro’s versatility will be another factor that draws the attention of clubs across Europe, with the left-back being a set-piece specialist for Dortmund.

As for Gomez, it could just be a loan move to the Clarets, but that could also be held up regarding the future of Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who could be someone Kompany wants to keep at Turf Moor.

Gomez or Harwood-Bellis would have to be signed on a permanent basis to enable the other to be signed on a loan deal, which could be a stumbling block if City doesn’t want to allow a permanent switch.
