Mason Mount is currently in Carrington having his Manchester United medical. The Chelsea midfielder is now in the final stages of completing his move to the club.
The medical test is currently ongoing as we speak, and afterwards Mount will sign his Manchester United contract. The England midfielder was a prime target for Manchester United, and Erik ten Hag specifically.
Mount will sign a long-term deal at United, with the club seeing him as a huge part of the rebuild.
Mason Mount Medical:
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Mason Mount is currently having his Manchester United medical. The Chelsea man will then sign his contract at the club, which will be until June 2028. Manchester United have an option to extend that by a year.
In total the deal will cost United £55million, with the £5million add-ons only being paid if they win league titles and other trophies. United beat off competition from Liverpool and Arsenal to sign Mount.
Erik ten Hag has wanted Mount since 2018 when he tried to sign him on loan at Ajax. The Dutch manager had first hand experience watching Mount’s Vitesse beat his Ajax in 2018.
The announcement for Mount is due to be this week after everything is finalise and the media work is done. United will then set their sights on Andre Onana from Inter Milan. Contacts are ongoing between the clubs, but no official bid sent yet.
Mason Mount is now in the final stages of becoming a United player, and will sign his contract to make it official by the end of today.
