Al Ittihad have reignited their interest in the 31-year-old and are prepared to go all out to try and sign him after making an attempts earlier in the window.

However, the Reds have no intentions of selling the Egypt international this summer with two years left on his contract.

Liverpool have already sold midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Al-Ittihad and El-Ettifaq respectively this summer, while Roberto Firmino joined Al-Ahli after the expiration of his contract at Anfield.

The only way Salah will leave for the Gulf State this summer is if he forces through a dramatic late move away from Liverpool but Klopp has confirmed that the club will not entertain any offer for the forward.

“It’s a bit different to talk about media stories, nothing to talk about from our point of view, Mo Salah is a Liverpool player,” the German said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“There’s nothing there, if there would be something, the answer would be no,” he said emphatically.

“My life philosophy, or one part, is to think about the problem when I have it, it’s enough time then, but there is absolutely nothing at the moment.

“If there’s something coming up I don’t know, then I’d have to think about it. But if there would be something, it would be no.”

Salah has netted 187 goals in 305 games since joining from AS Roma in 2017 and is currently fifth on Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts, surpassing club legend Steven Gerrard after scoring against Bournemouth last weekend.

He has won several trophies during his time at Anfield including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, and Uefa Super Cup.
