Atalanta are looking for a quick solution to the Rasmus Hojlund saga, and are hoping to have clarity on the situation in the next ten days. United are preparing a bid for the Danish striker, as they look to ward off interest from PSG.
PSG are in contact with the player and his representatives as they look to try and beat United to his signature. The Red’s currently lead as they have terms agreed with Hojlund, but they want absolutely sure by launching a bid.
Atalanta are looking for around €70million for Hojlund.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini told the board at Atalanta he wants a solution to the Rasmus Hojlund situation in the next ten days.
United are preparing to launch their first official bid and believe they can sign the player. Atalanta are open to selling for the right fee, but want a deal done soon so they can bring in a replacement before the season starts.
Hojlund would lean towards a move to Manchester United over PSG as he supported them as a boy. Discussions are taking place between the player’s side and PSG, but United remain in the lead in the race.
United’s bid will come soon as they look to kick PSG out of the race. Atalanta want €70million, but United are expected to bid below that for their first initial offer. The player’s willingness to join could help United in negotiations.
The situation could be wrapped up quickly if all parties are on the same page.
