La Liga Champions Barcelona would reportedly be open to bringing in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso this summer as they look to bring one more player before the transfer window shuts.
The Spanish giants haven’t really had the busiest of transfer windows as they have only signed Inigo Martinez, Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu for cheap.
They have sold a few big names as well so far with Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann have gone to Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Legends Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba also left the club to join Lionel Messi in America playing for Inter Miami FC.
Lo Celso an option
With not long left to go in the transfer window though Xavi would still like to bring in a midfielder and Lo Celso is an option he is interested in.
However they understand a deal is complicated this late on especially due to the fact that Tottenham Hotspur intend on having him in the first-team.
He is in line to possibly start on the weekend due to the injury to James Maddison as Spurs take on Bournemouth.
If he does then that would likely mean no deal will be entertained from the North London club who are in their post Harry Kane era.
Barcelona have started their La Liga title defence with a draw to Getafe and a win against Cadiz but they suffered a big blow with Pedri suffering an injury in the victory.
Hence why they are looking for another attacking midfield option.
