German Champions Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo according to Sky Sports.
Caicedo has been wanting to move to Chelsea throughout the summer but Brighton have rejected several bids for him.
Due to this Chelsea bid for Liverpool target Romeo Lavia but now the Reds have retaliated by contacting Brighton about Caicedo.
On top of all that now there’s a third club involved in the race as Bayern Munich want to bring him to Germany.
Bayern have wanted a defensive midfield all summer as they had a strong interest in Declan Rice before he joined Arsenal.
They have also been in back and forth negotiations with Tottenham over Harry Kane but that deal seems to be close to completion so their focus can shift onto Caicedo.
As it stands a conclusion to this transfer saga could happen as soon as this weekend with Brighton not changing their stance on the £100 million valuation for Caicedo.
The Ecuadorian international still wants his move to Chelsea but it could depend on who is the highest bidder out of the three clubs.
Chelsea are also on the verge of signing Tyler Adams from Leeds United whilst they have had a bid rejected for Lavia.
Their transfer strategy once again under Todd Boehly has been a manic approach compared to Liverpool who have been slow to react so far this window.
