Chelsea have finally made some waves into signing a new goalkeeper this summer, and have made an offer for Brighton’s Robert Sanchez.
Edouard Mendy leaving this summer for the Saudi League meant an offer was always expected for a new keeper by Chelsea, and that have finally made that a reality.
Sanchez would fight for the number one spot with Kepa Arrizabalaga should a deal be done.
Chelsea Make Offer For Robert Sanchez:
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Robert Sanchez is the goalkeeper Chelsea want and they have made an offer to Brighton.
The fee involved has not yet been disclosed but Robert Sanchez is open to the move. Brighton also want the player to leave the club.
Chelsea have been coy about signing a new keeper all summer but there was always a feeling they wanted to sign a new player in the position. Sanchez is anticipated to start ahead of Kepa.
The Blue’s are pushing ahead with more deals this week to try and prepare for the new season. Mauricio Pochettino will hope Sanchez will be done before the first game of the season against Liverpool.
