Just because a team is relegated from the Premier League does not mean they do not have any good players, and the last few years the big clubs in the league have helped dispel that myth.

Andy Robertson is a great example, and Romeo Lavia and James Maddison are hoping to be the next two players who get relegated and move to a big club the season after.

Chelsea are still interested in Maddison, and could sign him as a Mason Mount replacement.

As reported by Felix Johnston, Chelsea remain interested in the signing of James Maddison from Leicester City.

Leicester will likely want to keep Maddison but it will be difficult for them to keep hold of the player in the Championship. The England midfielder is also not expected to be keen on staying.

Chelsea are among the interested clubs and it’s also felt that Newcastle United have interested in Maddison as well.

Maddison is just one of the number tens Chelsea have on the list to replace Mason Mount and Kai Havertz if they are to leave the club, with players like Gabri Veiga also being of interest to Chelsea.

Leicester would look for around £40-50million for Maddison, which is a similar fee to what Southampton will look for to sell Romeo Lavia. Chelsea also have an interest in signing Lavia.

No move has been made as of now and it remains just interest, but it could develop into more as the weeks go by.
