Everton have concrete interest in Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga, and the two clubs will continue talks for the player today. There are huge chances for Elanga to complete a move to Everton in the next week or so.
United are ready to cash in on Elanga as they look to recoup some money from sales this summer, and there is confidence that a deal is possible between both clubs. Some talks have already taken place and they will continue today in the hopes of getting closer to an agreement.
Everton will have to move fast as they are one of many clubs interested in Elanga.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Everton will hold new direct talks with Manchester United for Anthony Elanga today. The Swedish winger has been the subject of major interest from clubs since January.
Elanga is not likely to be part of the plans at United this summer and it seems like the right time for a sale. With a number of wingers in front of him in the pecking order, a breakthrough seasons feels unlikely.
United can recoup some cash for Elanga with a sale, with the expected fee coming in at around £10million. Everton are now favourites for the winger. The Blue’s showed initial interest in Elanga, and will now proceed with these direct talks.
At 21-years old another loan for the United man did not make sense. Regular football is the only way he can grow from here on out, and he will be more than guaranteed that at Everton. Elanga is also homegrown so the sale will mean even more for United in terms of their FFP battle.
The deal is not done as of yet, with personal terms and a club to club agreement still needed.
