Fabinho’s move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad is reportedly a done deal.
There was plenty of concrete links about a bid being prepared for the Brazilian international with David Ornstein reporting it and it would now appear that the deal has progressed very quickly.
The former Monaco man has been at Liverpool for five years now and at his peak he was one of the best defensive midfielders in the world however his standards did slip last season so a bid of £40M is seemingly too hard to turn down.
If he does make the move he will join Jota, N’Golo Kante and Karim Benzema at the club who are managed by former Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Liverpool were already in the middle of a midfield rebuild due to Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner all leaving for free but now with Fabinho, the only natural defensive midfielder, supposedly leaving they will be forced to make another move and quickly.
As well as that Jordan Henderson has agreed personal terms with Al-Ettifaq with a transfer fee needing to be agreed with Liverpool but it looks very likely that he will also go.
