Fabinho’s move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad could all of a sudden be in jeopardy according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
The Brazilian international looked like he had played his last game for Liverpool and that a deal was close however that may not be the case.
Jurgen Klopp had even left him out of the squad that he took to Germany for pre-season so the move to Nuno Espirito Santo’s team could take place.
There was rumours that the reason the deal was being held up was because of Fabinho’s French bulldogs and the fact they are illegal in Saudi Arabia but that is not the case.
The 29-year-old could even return to training on Wednesday for Liverpool as the transfer possibly falls through.
However all parties want to work together to get the deal done with conversations and negotiations ongoing.
Al-Ittihad’s desire to sign Fabinho has not diminished and the player still wants the move.
It just appears that the deal is not as close to completion as originally thought which will be annoying for Liverpool as they want the money to look for replacements.
