All the talk around Sofyan Amrabat has been centred around Manchester United, but Liverpool may have hijacked the move last moment. The player is set to join from Fiorentina.
Liverpool have long standing interest in Amrabat dating back to December, but since then it has been media silence around a move.
Amrabat however is now said to be on his way to Merseyside.
Amrabat Close To Liverpool From Fiorentina:
As reported by AD.NL in the Netherlands, Sofyan Amrabat is now on his way to Liverpool. It seems Liverpool have stolen a march on Manchester United.
Reports recently have suggested Amrabat preferred a move to United, but they have left him waiting. United are now not expected to sign anymore players.
Liverpool may have caught wind of this and entered the race. Amrabat is valued at around £30million, which is well within range for Liverpool.
Amrabat is now close to joining Liverpool. The deal is said to be nearly done, with United now missing out on his signature.
More to follow on this as it breaks.
