Liverpool have had a €30million offer for Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade turned down according to a report.

The Reds have been linked with the 22-year-old over recent weeks with Jurgen Klopp attempting to re-build his Liverpool squad.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai were purchased to help cover for the losses of James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after their contracts expired.

There was a shock awaiting around the corner however when Saudi clubs made a play for Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

That has left the Anfield hierarchy continuing the search for midfielders and they made a surprise move for Wataru Endo last week as they attempt to add some depth to the squad.

The belief remains that Liverpool are still looking for at least one more midfielder and Andre is seemingly high up on their list of preferences.

Fluminense Reject Liverpool Offer For Andre Trindade

According to ESPN Brazil, Liverpool have had a €30million bid for the Brazilian international rejected by Fluminense.

The Serie A club do not want to sell their key player whilst they remain in the Copa Libertadores where they have reached the quarter-finals.

That means that a deal in January has always been far more likely and according to the outlet, Fluminense have been clear that they will not sell him during this transfer window regardless of the size of the offer.

They go on to report that Liverpool may now end their interest in Andre and not return in January with their focus set to switch to other targets.
