Getafe are now close to completing the signing of Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood. The deal is now nearing completion, with the Spanish side signing Greenwood on a loan from United.
United decided two weeks ago after an internal investigation Greenwood would not play for the club again. They agreed to help the player with a move, and they are working to complete a loan.
Getafe have pushed in recent hours, and are now close to signing the player.

There is optimism between both clubs that a deal will be done. United are happy to assist Greenwood in his departure. Getafe are really keen on signing the player.
In Spain the window closes at 12pm so there is a tight deadline. Talks have been ongoing and they are moving closer. Getafe are the only team pushing for Greenwood.
Paperwork is in the process now of being completed between both clubs. It’s expected to be a season-long loan for Greenwood. United have made it clear however he will not play for the club again.
