West Ham are moving closer to the purchase of Harry Maguire from Manchester United, and United have already lined up a replacement in the shape of Jean-Clair Todibo.
United have been following Todibo since the beginning of the window. The Frenchman was always a candidate in the event Harry Maguire was sold this summer.
West Ham could land a £35million deal for Maguire, leaving the door open for Todibo.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Jean-Clair Todibo is Manchester United’s priority target if West Ham sign Harry Maguire.
United and West Ham are not too far away on an agreement for Maguire. The clubs are moving closer to a valuation agreement. Maguire is warming to joining West Ham.
Todibo would cost around £35million, which is a similar fee to what United will get for Maguire. There are other targets the club have looked at but Todibo tops the list.
Discussions have taken place between United and Nice, as well as the player’s entourage. There is a feeling Todibo would be open to joining United.
A move is expected to accelerate if Harry Maguire is sold.
