Speculation has been rife about Jordan Henderson joining Saudi League club Al Ettifaq, and it now looks like he has made his decision. The Liverpool midfielder is open to the offer, and it’s now up to the clubs to find an agreement.

Henderson would be joining Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq, who recently became manager of the Saudi side. Gerrard is pushing for Henderson to join the club.

Al Ettifaq will not pay a massive fee for Henderson, but they would like to sign him from Liverpool.

Henderson Open To Saudi Move:

Jordan Henderson

As reported by DaveOCKOP, Jordan Henderson wants to accept the offer from Saudi League side Al Ettifaq. They will now have to enter talks with Liverpool to find a fee.

Al Ettifaq are not willing to pay a major fee for Henderson. Liverpool are likely to ask for around £15million for Henderson, as the club do like to make as much profit as possible from sales. If Liverpool demand too much the Saudi side are expected to walk away from any potential deal.

Steven Gerrard is behind the push for Henderson as he looks to make his mark in Al Ettifaq. If a deal is completed it will be the former Liverpool man’s first signing for the club. The deal will be a three-year deal, on a much higher salary then he is currently on.

Henderson is unlikely to start many games for Liverpool next season due to the new additions in midfield, and that may be a huge reason behind his decision to leave. With James Milner gone and Henderson now likely to leave, Virgil Van Dijk would become the captain.

The deal is not done and personal terms have not been agreed between the Saudi club and Henderson, but the player is now fully open to the idea according to the reports. The next few days will be key to see where this deal ends up. An agreement between the clubs will be tricky.
