Paul Pogba left Manchester United last summer for Juventus to prove himself to the world, but injuries have hindered his return to Italy in a massive way. Pogba has barely featured this season for the Italian side, and they now look ready to sell him this summer.
The 30-year old midfielder featured in just 10 games last season, playing a little over 161 minutes in all competitions. The French World Cup winner had a string of injuries including a meniscus injury, a hamstring tear and even an abductor injury. It was a season to forget for Pogba.
Juventus are now reportedly ready to sell the player for a fee of just £8million.
As reported by Gazetta in Italy, Juventus are looking to sell Paul Pogba for a fee of just £8million. The news has sent some United fans onto Twitter, dreaming about the possibility of a Pogba return to Manchester United.
In terms of interest in Pogba there have been rumours of a move to the Saudi League. A number of players have made the switch this summer, but there is no concrete news as of yet of Pogba’s intentions.
Manchester United have their sights firmly set on Sofyan Amrabat, so it’s unlikely they will entertain any return for Pogba. The midfielder ran out of his contract at the club last summer after turning down an offer from the club.
Selling Pogba will not only earn a cash strapped Juventus £8million but it was also clear up space on the wage bill. Pogba is said to earn €10.26million a year in wages at the club, which brings the total amount of a sale to €18.26million saved.
As of now, it looks like the Paul Pogba story at Juventus is over.
