Liverpool are reportedly close to finding a solution with Brazilian side Fluminense for midfielder Andre.
The Reds have been stuck in back and forth negotiations with Southampton for defensive midfielder Romeo Lavia but he is not the only one they have their eyes on.
After a poor season last campaign it was clear that Liverpool needed new midfielders and regardless of who stayed or left.
In came Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai but since then Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have departed so there is a desperate need for another player to come in.
Lavia has been their number one target but Andre is now wanted by Liverpool and Fluminense have been told to expect a bid for the 22-year-old in the next few days.
Liverpool are willing to offer 25 million euros for him and Andre would want to move to the Premier League but will respect Fluminense’s decision as the club only want to sell him in January.
With the new season only 11 days away Liverpool will need to start making some moves but like Southampton Fluminense may be difficult to negotiate with if the are determined to keep their man.
At the moment Liverpool will likely be starting the opening day with Curtis Jones in the defensive midfield role against Chelsea as he started there against Bayern Munich.
