Liverpool have been linked with a move for a left-footed centre-back all summer, and they may finally have identified a target. Goncalo Inacio has signed a new deal at Sporting, and that opens the door for Piero Hincapie.
Hincapie is a highly rated left-footed centre-back. His performances for Ecuador in the World Cup caught the eye, and Liverpool are one of the clubs who admire the player.
There is a chance Liverpool will sign a midfielder and a defender in the remaining weeks of the window.
Liverpool Interested In Hincapie:
As reported by Fussbal Transfers, Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie this summer. He’s one of the left-footed defenders on the list.
Liverpool have already signed two players from the German league this summer, and Hincapie has every chance of being the third.
The Red’s are not the only club interested in Hincapie. West Ham are looking at the player after missing out on Harry Maguire, and RB Leipzig also admire the player.
Hincapie has a current market value of around €35million. Liverpool may try and sign the player for a lower fee than that. Jurgen Klopp would ideally like a left-footed centre-back this summer.
Piero Hincapie to Liverpool, one to keep an eye on.
