Liverpool could look to secure a deal for Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade now with a view to him arriving at the club in 2024.
It was set to be a summer of change at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp looked to rebuild his squad after a disappointing campaign.
Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai arrived at Anfield earlier in the transfer window but the Reds were caught off guard when they lost Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi shortly after.
The Anfield hierarchy seem to have stalled since however and appear to be struggling to get a deal over the line for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
Liverpool have been linked with 22-year-old Andre over recent weeks but reports have suggested that Fluminense are not keen to let him go prior to the end of the Brazilian Serie A season this winter.
That would mean he would not be available until the January transfer window for any interested clubs.
Could Andre Trindade be on the way to Liverpool?
According to Marcello Neves, Liverpool could be prepared to make a proposal now to bring the Brazilian to Anfield in 2024.
The journalist for geglobo also reaffirms the stance of Fluminense that the midfielder will not leave before the end of the year.
