Liverpool are now close to agreeing a deal with Brighton worth over £100million for Moises Caicedo. The Red’s have moved ahead of Chelsea in the race for the midfielder.
It will be a massive blow to Chelsea, who have been working on the deal for a number of months. Liverpool have swooped in over the last 48 hours and look to have got the deal over the line.
Chelsea can still reply to Liverpool’s offer to try and swing the deal back in their favour.
As reported by TalkSport, Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal with Brighton worth over £100million for Moises Caicedo.
Caicedo is now said to be open to a move to Liverpool if a deal goes through. Chelsea had agreed personal terms with the player months ago, but Liverpool are now likely to get the green light.
The fee will be Liverpool’s most expensive transfer in their history. The pursuit of Romeo Lavia is now likely to be left, with Chelsea likely to sign the midfielder if they can not sign Caicedo.
A deal is not done and Chelsea were always expected to make a bid themselves. Liverpool will have moved into the lead with this bid however.
Crucial hours for Moises Caicedo’s future.
