As Liverpool look set to complete the transfer of Alexis Mac Allister, a report has emerged suggesting that they could still also make a move for another Brighton midfielder, Moises Caicedo.

After weeks of speculation, Argentine World Cup winner Mac Allister finally looks like he will complete his move to Anfield over the next 24 hours.

Jurgen Klopp looks set to continue his hunt for potential targets this summer however as he looks to replace the out of contract James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain,

Whilst links to Khephren Thuram of Nice, Manu Kone of Borussia Dortmund, and Gabri Veiga persist, Liverpool could still make a move for Caicedo.

That’s according to Sam Dean who suggests that the Reds could yet get involved in the battle for the 21-year-old alongside Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

The football reporter for the Daily Telegraph claims that the Seagulls are likely to demand ‘significantly more’ than £70million for the player and interest from Liverpool will depend on the eventual cost of the Ecuadorian.

The Transfer Room Verdict

There is no doubt that nearly all of the Premier League’s top clubs will be watching on with interest to see what fee Brighton demand for Caicedo.

The eventual price tag could be a stumbling block for Liverpool however with them needing multiple reinforcements in midfield as Klopp attempts to get them back in the hunt for trophies.
