Liverpool could switch their attention back to Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone, as they look to bolster their midfield this summer. With Wataru Endo already signed, one more is likely to come into the club.
Kone has been a target for Liverpool since the beginning of the window. The Red’s could now turn attention back after the player returned from injury.
Gladbach would sell Kone for a fee of around £45million.
As reported by BILD in Germany, Liverpool could try again to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone in the closing weeks of the window.
Kone has been linked with a move away all summer, and Liverpool are a club he’d be open to join. The German market has been kind to Liverpool thus far in the window, with two signings already made.
Liverpool would ideally like another out and out defensive midfielder, but they have also been targeting box to box midfielders since completing a deal for Endo.
Ryan Gravenberch and Sofyan Amrabat are also targets for the club. A decision is expected to be made in the coming days in regards to who they want to sign.
Manu Kone, one to watch for Liverpool.
