Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah looks set to depart on loan this summer.
The 20-year-old impressed during pre-season playing with the Liverpool first team and had been suggested as a contender to break into Jurgen Klopp’s squad this season.
According to Neil Jones, however, Quansah looks set to head out on loan before the transfer window closes on the 1st of September.
The England under-20 international is highly regarded and enjoyed a very successful loan spell at Bristol Rovers during the second half of last season.
It looks like a similar path has been chosen for him again this campaign and it will be interesting to see if he makes the step up to a Championship club this season after excelling in League One.
Rhys Williams and Sepp van den Berg have also left on loan this summer whilst the future of Nat Phillips remains unclear.
Should Phillips depart, Klopp will be left with just four senior centre-back options meaning a move in the transfer market cannot be ruled out.
