Liverpool have now enquired about Real Madrid duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde as they look to sign an alternative to Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea completed the signing of Caicedo yesterday meaning Liverpool missed out on a £110million deal. They are now working to try and sign another defensive midfielder.
Madrid could be open to allowing one of the players to leave.
As reported by Secret Scout, Liverpool have enquired to Real Madrid about Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde.
Liverpool’s need for a defensive midfielder is now at a critical level. Missing out on Caicedo has left the club in a bit of a tough spot, and they need to move fast.
Tchouameni has not reached the heights expected of him since joining Madrid, and Valverde could be sold to make some more money for the club if they decide to do so.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have long standing interest in both players, and have serious interest in doing a deal. Enquires have been made. Madrid may let one leave.
Work underway to try and sign a top defensive midfielder for Liverpool.
