Liverpool do not want to sell Colombian winger Luis Diaz this summer and are planning to go into the new campaign with him amid interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

Reportedly an offer has not yet been sent to Liverpool with the Saudi club preparing to pay 50 million euros however that price is nowhere near what Liverpool value him at so the transfer is already a non-starter.

Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are already seemingly on their way to Saudi Arabia which leaves Liverpool needing to go into the transfer market for midfielders so it is unlikely that they will sanction another sale.

Especially when the forward roles are the ones which have needed no additions throughout the summer as the five options of Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Mo Salah as well as Diaz are sufficient.

The 26-year-old looked like he was going to be one of the most important players for Liverpool in the early stages of last season however an injury he picked up against Arsenal ruined his season.

He ended up coming back into the team with a few games left of the season but the winger seemed of the pace as he returned to match fitness so this pre-season will be vital for him.

Nevertheless he is still seen as Liverpool’s first choice left winger so an offer of 50 million euros will be firmly rejected by Liverpool if it comes through.
