Liverpool are expected to sell Fabinho in the coming hours to Al Ittihad, and Sofyan Amrabat is on the list to replace him. Amrabat is a cheap option this summer at around £30million, but has a lot of quality.
Manchester United have been following Amrabat for some time but any move depends on sales. Fred is likely to leave the club this summer, along with Donny Van De Beek in the United midfield.
Amrabat is just one of many on a list for Liverpool that includes Ryan Gravenberch and Romeo Lavia.
Liverpool Interested In Amrabat:
As reported by James Pearce, Liverpool are interested in signing Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat. Amrabat would replace Fabinho who has not travelled to Germany with his team.
Fabinho is closing in on a move to Al Ittihad after agreeing personal terms with the club. Jordan Henderson was speculated to be joining Al Ettifaq, but he has travelled to Germany. Liverpool have received a £40million bid for Fabinho.
Manchester United could make another midfield signing this summer and Sofyan Amrabat is one of the names on the list. Amrabat could leave Fiorentina this summer, but a goalkeeper and a striker are prime targets for United as of now.
Liverpool have other players on their list of potential targets, with Romeo Lavia likely being the main one. The 19-year old will leave Southampton this summer, and the Red’s have been pushing hardest for his signing.
The next few days will be key for Liverpool and also United, as the race for Amrabat heats up.
