Liverpool and Chelsea are locked in a transfer battle over Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia according to a report.
Jurgen Klopp and new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino are likely to overhaul their squads this summer as they aim to get their teams back in the hunt for trophies.
James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Arthur Melo have all departed Anfield and it’s looking increasingly likely that Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, and Conor Gallagher could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to multiple reports, Liverpool have agreed on a deal to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister with the move set to be completed in the coming days.
Sacha Tavolieri is now also claiming that the Anfield hierarchy are set to do battle with Chelsea over the signing of Belgian international Lavia who impressed for Southampton in midfield this season despite the team’s struggles.
