Liverpool are among a number of Premier League clubs that have made an ‘initial approach’ for Brazilian Andre Trindade.

Jurgen Klopp is overseeing a midfield transformation at Liverpool with Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all having departed at the end of the season.

The German has also been rocked by the likely departures of two of his most experienced players – Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

Reds skipper Henderson looks destined for Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq and the Brazilian could also make the move to Saudi with Al-Ittihad although reports on Tuesday claim that the transfer may have hit a stumbling block.

Despite the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, the Anfield hierarchy appear to be keen to bolster Klopp’s midfield options further.

Whilst an offer has been made for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, Liverpool may also be setting their sights on Andre who currently plays for Fluminense in Brazil’s Serie A.

The outlet claims however that whilst Fluminense will ask for a modest €25million for Andre, they are not prepared to sell until the end of the Brazilian season this winter.
