Liverpool are reportedly wanting to make an offer for Crystal Palace centre back Marc Guehi as they look to reinforce their defence ahead of the 2023/24 season which is fast approaching.

The Reds have made two signifcant signings so far in the transfer window bringing in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighotn and RB Leipzig respectively.

As they still look to attempt to rebuild their midfield there has been numerous links to defenders as well to fill the left centre back role in the system that Jurgen Klopp used towards the back end of last season.

Andy Robertson, who is naturally a left-back, filled in the position but it has been reported that Liverpool would like a natural central defender to cover that position and now they have been linked to yet another homegrown defender; Marc Guehi.

Guehi has been at Crystal Palace for two years since he left Chelsea and he has been a consistent performer at the back for The Eagles even though they had some issues last season when Patrick Viera was sacked.

At just 22-years-old Guehi has already earned himself two senior England caps and will be eyeing up a place in next years European Championships squad.

As well as Liverpool Newcastle United have an interest in the defender but Palace are set to ask for at least £60million before any offer is accepted for Guehi which may put both clubs off.

Arsenal and Tottenham also hold some interest but again the issue is the price.
