Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is close to moving to Saudi Arabia according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Kessie has been at the Catalan giants for one season and he managed 43 appearances in all competitions as Barcelona went onto win the La Liga title.
However he struggled to make an impact at the Camp Nou so now it appears that he may be on his way out of the club.
Liverpool have been linked with the Ivory Coast midfielder but a move to the Saudi Pro League is now much more likely for him.
Al-Ahli have submitted an offer of 15 million euros and Kessie has accepted the three-year deal with the final details needing to be sorted.
The deal is very close to being completed and Barcelona are ready to sell him.
Liverpool are in the market for a defensive midfielder but they will not get the chance to move for Kessie.
They were linked with him after he had several successful years in Italy with Atalanta but Liverpool back then also didn’t make a bid for him.
Their priority is still Romeo Lavia after they have had a couple of bids rejected and as well as him Liverpool are interested in Fluminense midfielder Andre.
Liverpool face Chelsea in just over a weeks time in their opening game so it is a race against time to bring someone in for the game.
