Liverpool are going to make a record breaking bid for Midfielder Moises Caicedo according to an exclusive report from Dave OCKOP.
Their offer for the 21-year-old is a guaranteed £90 million with £10 million add-ons and it will be submitted on Friday morning.
The Reds have been looking to hijack Chelsea’s move for the Ecuadorian midfielder as they have been in the market for a defensive midfielder since Fabinho left.
It seemed that Caicedo would be too expensive for Liverpool as they instead targeted Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia but they had three bids rejected for the Belgium international.
So now instead they have joined the race for Caicedo who was originally keen on a move to Chelsea but a change of heart is now very much possible with the deal hinging on his preference.
Chelsea are set to respond with a bid of their own which will be £95 million with £5 million add-ons which could change things for Brighton.
Last winter The Reds held talks with Caicedo’s representatives but they will have to offer much better personal terms this time round.
Tyler Adams is on the verge of joining Chelsea however that has not stopped their pursuit for either Caicedo or Lavia.
