Liverpool are still looking for new midfielders even though the season starts in a weeks time and Andre from Fluminense has been linked.
Two regulars from last season Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have been sold to the Saudi Pro League whilst no one has signed since their departures.
Romeo Lavia has been Liverpool’s priority but Southampton have not budged on their £50 million valuation.
So Liverpool have been looking at some other players and one of them has been Andre.
The interest from Liverpool is reportedly real as they look to bring him to the club however the Brazilian side are insisting on keeping him until 2024.
They want at least 20 million euros for the 22-year-old but as of right now Liverpool have not made a proposal for his services.
He is slightly different to what Liverpool have had in the past in the defensive midfield role due to how small he is so there is potential that he may be viewed as a future Thiago replacement.
There has been rumours about the Spanish international leaving this summer but he alongside Stefan Bajcetic have returned to full training.
He is planning on remaining at the club for the last year of his contract before leaving on a free next season when Andre could be ready to take his place.
