Manchester United have finally agreed a €55million fee for Andre Onana with Inter Milan, and the player will travel to Manchester today to undergo his medical. United have gotten their man.
Andre Onana has said goodbye to Inter teammates today at the training ground and is now making his way to Manchester. United hope to finish his medical by Wednesday so he can fly to the USA with the rest of the team.
Onana is United’s second summer signing after Mason Mount.
United Agree Onana Fee:
As reported by Laurie Whitwell of the Athletic, Manchester United have agreed a €55million fee with Inter Milan for Andre Onana. Personal terms are also agreed between club and player.
It’s as transformative a signing as any club will make this summer. United have gone from a barely progressive goalkeeper to one of the most progressive on the planet. Onana will finally allow Erik ten Hag to transition into his style of football.
The next target for United after Onana is Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. A first bid is being prepared for the Danish striker. Hojlund is open to the move but Atalanta want a fee of around €70million including add-ons to part ways with the player.
Andre Onana could undergo his medical in Manchester or it could even be done in Edinburgh where the rest of his team currently are. United take on Lyon in a friendly tomorrow in Edinburgh at 2pm.
Massive signing completed for United, but there’s a lot more work to do in this summer window.
